Sometimes we can spend hours starting at a blank piece of paper before writing, painting, or drawing.
What takes you to find your inspiration?? a couple of mistakes, frustration, and even anger. IT SO HARD TO FIND INSPIRATION FOR ME! that is why every time I have an assignment due for any of my DIGM classes such as photography, visual communications, and web design I look as many photographs as I can online.

My first search entry is fashion photos, then black & white photography, and for last I will observe my previous work from school. Art, posters, photos anything that can help.
The reason why I like to look at others' work is because I want to know how do they expressed their ideas through an image. This allows me to find my artistic side and get all this crazy ideas on my head of what I want to project with my work.
Is here where my inspiration is at the top.
At this moment I know that I will spend a little more than three hours on my laptop playing with colors and textures.

It is a wonderful way to find inspiration and one that many use. Everyone get a block and especially when stressed. So continue to look and search out others to be inspired by.

ReplyDeleteI would say that Art, movies, stories, dances, other cultures, food, etc are pretty much what inspires me the most. But a majority of the time I usually see what other photographers are up to. :) But simply, I just look at photos and generate some ideas from images. However, I look every where for inspiration!
